Jesse Blessing aged 65 of Columbus R2 died suddenly this morning after a period of failing health. He was brother in law to Mrs Russell Patrick Walter Able F M Able and Miss Nora Belle Able of Seymour and to W H Able of Indianapolis formerly of Seymour. He married Cecil Able of this city who survives along with a daughter Virginia. Funeral plans have not been learned.

Two Functions Of County ACP Office Ended
The Jackson county Agriculture Conservation Program office at Brownstown ends its roles for farm building permits and G I certificates on farm machinery. A twin engine transport plane carrying 32 Marines is missing after flying into foul weather near the Cascade Mountains. The R5C left San Diego for Seattle with six planes, four landed in Portland and Sand Point, others lost contact near Chehalis Washington. The Breslin Construction Company of Louisville was low bidder on a state highway project in Indianapolis. The work covers widening and resurfacing Alternate U S Road 31 from Seymour to south of Rockford Methodist Church, plus parts of State Roads 46 and 150. Bid amount was 117364 dollars for 4.34 miles total, including 800 feet of Road 31 through Uniontown. Road 31 will be widened to twenty two and a half feet north of Seymour.

Bus Crash Injures 25 Students Near Flint
A loaded school bus carrying about 40 pupils, ages 10 to 12, crashed seven miles south of Flint after a tire blew out. About 25 children were injured, some seriously, but there were no fatalities. Farmers freed trapped riders with hacksaws. the bus did not burn. The accident occurred just before 9 a.m. on the Long Lake district route to Kennedy District school.

President Truman to announce creation of a liquidation agency to take over remaining functions of the CPA and other war emergency agencies at a 9 30 a m CST news conference tomorrow.
