Fire damages city residence in Seymour
Rear of Miss Sadie Mills's home at 621 North Chestnut street suffered extensive damage in an early morning blaze. Firefighters responding at 3 45 observed the fire shoot upward from the kitchen to the rear, halting its advance before reaching the front. Water froze on the roof and walls due to the cold temperature, causing interior smoke damage. The cause remains undetermined.
