Library Officers Elected at Seymour Public Library
New officers for 1970 were elected at the December meeting of Seymour Public Library. Thomas R. Judge Denies Exhumation of Kopechne Girl

UF Drive Nearing Goal as Campaign Ends Push
The 1969 Jackson County United Fund total stands at 109,023 with a last week push to hit the 110,000 goal. Campaign chair T. S. Sparks and UF president Gordon Hess urge remaining contributors to finalize gifts and reports so next week can announce reaching the goal. Group boost comes from John C. Grouch Co. warehouse employees adding 1,584, a 20 percent rise from last year, with five booster club members from the Grouph firm. Brownstown leads in 1968 solicitation with 6,552 collected, 200 more than 1968, plus new supporters from Weyerhaeuser carton division and Agrico Chemical Co., Seymour.

Seymour plan commission will hold two public hearings Thursday during its regular meeting. The Polley Subdivision seeks final plats for two tracts on South O’Brien Street with 39 lots on 9.93 acres and 38 lots on 14.17 acres. Mutton Creek Estates Section II plans 21 lots on 10,520 acres near U. S. 50 and U. S. 31. Banana Corp. is the applicant. Written comments are due by 4 p.m. Thursday.
