Ball Bros Theaters Inc announced plans to remodel the Allegro building at 109 East Second Street into a 500 to 600 seat modern theater with air conditioning, advanced sound, heat and lighting, a large lobby, balcony seating, and a 30 foot stage. The project includes a 20 year lease and a total investment around 40,000 dollars.

Ewing Man Dies After Brown Street Crash
Michael C. Sheets, a well known Ewing resident and garage operator, died at Sehneck Memorial Hospital after a Friday afternoon crash at the Brown Street crossing. His car was struck by an eastbound Baltimore and Ohio tram, suffering head injuries and severe facial wounds. he died Sunday. He was 58, married to Blanche Dodds, with a son James Edgar and sister Mrs. J E Kieffer surviving.
