Private First Class Theodore Keith of Seymour Indiana earned the Combat Infantryman Badge for ground combat in the Seoul area. He serves with Headquarters Company 32nd Infantry Regiment 7th Infantry Division and participated in amphibious invasions and the battle for Seoul before advancing toward the Manchurian border through snow covered mountains. Keith is with the northernmost United States unit in Korea.

Police report a morning collision at the four way intersection of Laurel and Vine. Patrick E. Cartwright, 28, of 703 East Brown Street drove a 1940 coach west on Laurel while Earl Chester Henry drove a 1941 sedan south on Vine. Cartwright’s car sustained about $200 damage, Henry’s car about $100. Ice on the street was a contributing factor.
