Nancy Lambert eighty four died at home in Crothersville after a two month illness. A lifelong Jackson county resident and Baptist Church member, she was born April 10 1860 and widowed since 1931. Mrs Irene Jaynes of Seymour reports her husband Pfc Roscoe N Jaynes was wounded in action November 17 in Germany. He had been overseas since June and served with General Patton's Third Army before convalescing in an English hospital.

Estes, a statistical officer at Freeman, will enroll in a flexible gunnery course at Buckingham after graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School Long Beach California and Long Beach Junior College. Thirty-one of the thirty-four Jackson county men called for induction were cleared at the induction station. Twenty-one were designated for the army and ten for the navy. Mrs Hattie Roeger Hunterman aged 77 died at her home 308 West Second Street after a seven month heart illness. Born April 8 1867 in Jackson County she married George W Hunterman December 23 1902. he died December 30 1934. Survived by brother Charles A Roeger. Funeral at 2 30 Tuesday at home with Revs Becker and Yoder, burial Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday afternoon.
