Wild Turkeys Flown Into Indiana Halt at Local Airport
A mission plane piloted by Ralph Hibdon landed at the local airport at 5 50 p m with six wild turkeys en route to release at Clark County State Forest near Henryville. George Johnson of Brownstown helped unload and transport the birds as part of a Missouri Indiana exchange enabling future turkey seasons and continuing grouse transfers.

New Consolidated Lutheran School Planned in County
Plans for a 1 5 000 consolidated elementary school to serve three Lutheran congregations Lutheran Wallonia and St Pauls Lutheran Wegan. The site east of Brownstown Central High School will initially include four classrooms for 120 students with space for four more restrooms and eight thousand nine hundred seventy five square feet. The concrete block building with brick veneer features a cafeteria, multipurpose room, and space for 167 seating plus 112 for exercise. Construction is slated to start next spring with completion by the fall term. Final plans for Browns town Christmas parade are announced by the Brownstown Jaycees sponsors. The 1:30 p m start routes along Spring street to Main then Tanner street before disbanding. Units include Legion color guard high school bands floats and scouts with 15 clowns and three Seymour Jaycees as judges. Police urge Spring street be kept clear 1:30 to 3 p m with Civil Defense aiding traffic control.

Cpl Reynolds Moved To Clark Hospital For Treatment
Lance Corporal Jack D Reynolds 21 USMC was seriously wounded in Vietnam on December 5. He has been evacuated to the United States Air Force Hospital at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippine Islands for further treatment. His parents Mr and Mrs Howard Schmidt of Seymour Indiana were notified. The exact date of hospital assignment is unknown and updates will follow.
