Final plans for the third annual Seymour Christmas parade sponsored by the Seymour Jaycees were set for 6 p m Saturday on downtown Seymour streets. Brush Fire Extinguished at Gene Eddy Farm
Redding township volunteer firefighters battled a grass and brush fire at Gene Eddy’s farm for about an hour Thursday afternoon. Fire Chief Seymour Al Spaugh said about 10 firefighters were dispatched at 1 p m, about one and a half miles east of Ackeret's Chapel. The blaze threatened a nearby barn but was brought under control and extinguished. Eddy had been burning brush when the flames got out of hand.

Man Killed In Fiery Crash Near Bedford Indiana
Charles Robert Bush 34 of Oolitic died in a late night crash on Ind 37 north of Bedford when his 1954 sedan crossed center line and collided with a 1957 two ton truck carrying 13 tons of shelled corn. The truck burned. driver Everett Stalcup escaped unharmed. Bush was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene a large investigative response followed.
