Jackson County commissioners will hold a special session to receive bids for a 1961 eight cylinder sheriff department car with a 1959 trade in, county home food and supplies for the quarter ending March 31 1961, and printing books and office supplies for county offices in five classes. Two young Jackson County men were inducted today per Mrs. Vivian Smith, clerk at the Jackson County Selective Service board in Brownstown. Richard E. Gerth and another unnamed man reported and were sent to the Armed Forces Induction Station in Indianapolis. originally five were to report, but three were transferred. Five more Jackson County men are slated for December 21 pre induction physicals. the board will be closed December 15 to 26.
