Other major amounts went to Seymour civil city 63,276.19 Brownstown schools 51,012.38 Brownstown town 5,698.66 and various county funds and townships including the county revenue fund 97,142.79 and the welfare department 16,343.97. The state's share 29,026.94 was mailed Friday afternoon.

After a three day trial in Jackson Circuit Court, James Hat tabaugh, 29, Salem R3, was found guilty of assault and battery a lesser charge than the charged statutory offense. He was fined 308 dollars and sentenced to 60 days on the state penal farm by Judge John M. Lewis. The case stemmed from an August arrest involving a Brownstown woman about 19. In separate action, a divorce was granted in Anna Lee Teer versus Loman F Teer.
