Anti Rabies Drive Ends Tonight In County
Approximately 100 dogs in Seymour have been inoculated against rabies this week at two clinics at the Seymour Legion Home. Dr. W A Brown reported 50 dogs vaccinated Wednesday night. Campaign started Monday with clinics at Freetown School and Baughman’s Garage in Reddington totaling 25 dogs. Final clinics are tonight at Brownstown Legion Yard Houston School and Cox School in Washington township.

Robbery Suspects Plead Not Guilty in Bartholomew County
Carl Hicks 27 and Harold Driskell 29, both Indianapolis residents, pleaded not guilty to grand larceny and a statutory charge in Bartholomew Circuit Court. Bonds set at 5000 each. robbery of McCord Market on US Alternate Road 31 netted over 500 dollars in merchandise. Suspects were captured in Amarillo Texas and returned to Columbus by Sheriff Earl Hogan and Trooper Joseph Normington after a fast search. Loot recovered after two girls were detained in Franklin, while Hicks and Driskell fled following the robbery.

Bomber Crashes During Maneuvers Off Oahu
A two engine Navy patrol bomber crashed at sea during air submarine maneuvers near Honolulu. Three of the ten men aboard were rescued by a submarine Bashaw. Seven submarines and four planes hunted for the seven missing airmen as two destroyers sped to the scene about 40 miles northwest of Oahu.
