Crothersville Man Dies After Train Collison
Wilmer Eacret a 51 year old Crothersville man died after his 1930 light model sedan was struck by a northbound Pennsylvanian Railroad train at a street crossing in Crothersville. He suffered a crushed chest broken left ankle and injured left hip and died at Schneck Memorial Hospital. The crash occurred as he traveled west across Dixon street crossing en route home from the Morgan Packing Company plant. The train halted with the car wedged on the pilot and the crew reported operating flasher lights at the crossing. He was born July 21 1894 to James Tilford and Mary Eacret and married Ennod Simmons on March 30 1913. Continued on page 6 column 4.

Funeral services for Mrs Olive Conner, who died Friday afternoon after a long illness, will be held Monday at 2 PM from her home 510 North Chestnut Street. The Rev Edwin F Shake will officiate with entombment in Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum. She was active in church and women’s clubs and leaves a daughter Mrs R E Harris of Cincinnati a son John H Conner publisher of The Tribune and four grandchildren with three great grandchildren.
