Fire Burns Seymour Home in Cold Nahub. Destroys Living Room
A Seymour family fled their 508 East Tipton street home as fire consumed the living room and hall. Theodore Henkle owns the one story frame house. Victor Vierling and his wife and two children occupied it. Firefighters responded after 3:15 pm with two engines, police set roadblocks, and crews battled smoke in bitter wind. The family is staying with Vierling's parents.

Marion Stackhouse, Hamilton County grain and hog farmer, was re elected president of the Indiana Farm Bureau for a two year term at the close of the 59th annual convention. Delegates from Jackson County including Lawrence Otte and others attended the three day meeting at the Indianapolis Convention Center. A salary policy for public officials was approved and will be sent to the American Farm Bureau convention in Houston January 8 to 12.
