Funeral services for Carol Lee McClain two year old daughter of Mr and Mrs William Lee McClain of Richmond California were held at Voss Mortuary with Rev Franklin M Moore and Rev C R Lee in charge. Burial followed at Riverview Cemetery. The child died of poliomyelitis on November 25 in Richmond. The father worked at Freeman Field in 1941 and the step father Clark Audas was an operating engineer there for three years.

Jury Finds Man Guilty on Count After Five Hour Deliberation
A Jackson Circuit Court jury found Elzie R. Ewing of Washington county guilty on one count of reckless driving and not guilty on the charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. Judge George H. Gossman deferred judgment until Thursday and Ewing was released on continuing bond. The verdict followed a trial begun Monday over the death of Melvin Hauer in Wallonia last July 18.
