Isaac Watts announces the Seymour plant of the Consolidated Shoe Corporation will reopen its cutting department on Monday December 15 with a six hour day from 8 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 3 pm. Other departments will resume in regular order and Crothersville also reopens the same day. The two plants will operate on a reduced schedule to meet smaller orders, returning 550 to 570 workers.

Indianapolis December 7 Associated Press says Municipal Court Judge Karabell dismissed the murder charge against 37 year old Mary Runyon of Plainfield in the hit ran death of a father and his young daughter. She was re arrested on involuntary manslaughter charged after posting $2,000 bond and being released from jail.
