Austin Bell of Bedford confesses to taking part in the Farmers Bank robbery at Freetown on November 28. He names Mance Glover of Leesville and Grady Sherrill of Bedford as the other two in the bandit trio, who escaped with 2012.50. Bell says he hid loot near Henderson Hill and 322.31 in cash and coins was found. he gave 155 to his brother Norman. Sheriff Stewart confirmed the confession and noted ongoing pursuit of Glover and Sherrill. Bell is held in Brownstown jail after being captured in Bedford.

Old Covered Bridge Moved to Brown County State Park
An 1837 burr truss covered bridge, built from black walnut timbers, was dismantled near Greencastle and moved to the entrance of Brown County State Park east of Nashville.
