Rash of Weekend Traffic Mishaps Leaves Several Injured
Police logged three-vehicle crashes and a Sunday incident on Tipton and O’Brien streets. Glenn L. Robert 53 of Seymour became ill at the wheel causing damage to a 1969 pickup and two parked vehicles. A second crash on East Tipton street injured passenger Donna M. Hocking 12. No other injuries reported. Total property damage estimated around 5000 dollars.

Jackson County timber receipts from the Indiana forest program totaling 35 932 15 are part of a 239 547 65 stumpage sale for fiscal 1975 76 Ten counties receive 15 percent of net returns with Jackson getting 1 896 41 and 12 642 73 net. State Forest system began in 1903 to protect conserve and demonstrate forestry and now spans about 140 000 acres mainly in southern Indiana.

A Saturday crowd watched 27 entries in the 14th annual Christmas parade sponsored by the Brownstown Jaycees. Floats dominated with first prize to Brownstown Central Ambitious Young Farmers and second to Rose Acre Farms, plus third to Brownstown Exchange Club. Medora High School Marching Hornets won best band. Horse entries placed with cash prizes of 25, 15 and 10 dollars each. The Medora Band also earned a cash prize beyond the band award.
