Man Arrested For Robbery-Beating At Medora
An Indianapolis man, Lester Boling, 50, was jailed in Brownstown on a two count charge for the robbery beating of Frank Sons, 74, of Medora. The charges allege infliction of personal injury with a firearm during robbery and armed robbery. Authorities say arraignment was planned for circuit court today as Boling was questioned.

Fires Extinguished At Local Furniture Store and Home
City firefighters were dispatched at 7 10 p m Monday to put out a fire in a discarded studio couch at the Ashcraft furniture store 118 East Second street. The couch was reportedly set afire by boys. A grass fire at 629 South Vine street on property owned by Mrs E L Crum was quickly extinguished by firefighters about 11 o'clock Monday morning.

First Anti Rabies Clinics Open in Jackson County
Jackson County holds its first anti Rabies clinics with Dr W A Brown vaccinating dogs at Seymour Legion Home. Thirty plus dogs were treated in Vallonia and less than 50 in Seymour with other towns reporting lower turnout. Remaining clinics run through December with locations listed and all sessions 7 to 9 pm. Vaccination fee is 1 50 per dog.

On North Chestnut Street near East Second Street at 8 35 a.m. an auto driven by Billy Wilson of Crothersville skidded on ice and struck the rear of a Seymour Community Schools bus driven by Harry C Foist. Damages to the sedan were about 40 dollars. the bus incurred no damage. City crews work on a water service leak blamed for the ice.
