She was born September 20 1870 in Indiana to Riley and Nancy Abbott and was married first to Ed Lewellyn in Salem in 1891 then to James Harding after his death.

Harold Jackson of Kurtz pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle while under the influence after a dump truck he was driving failed to negotiate a jog on West Third street at Elm. He was fined ten dollars with costs totaling twenty and both operator and chauffeur licenses revoked for twenty five days.
