Burglars battered open a small Briner store safe at Crothersville Friday night and stole guns clothing and other merchandise valued at hundreds of dollars. Morning discovery showed a widespread ransacking with cash registers and a safe targeted. A full inventory was pending as investigators sought missing items and time of entry.
Death reported of Mrs Florence Gropp daughter of Mr and Mrs Guns Schulteis former Seymour residents. She died 12:30 am Wednesday at St Vincent Hospital after a recent operation. Survived by husband and six year old daughter. Funeral services planned Saturday in Indianapolis.
Funeral services were held for infant Martin William Pardieck at 2:30 PM from the home with Rev. F. H. Eggers of Emmanuel Lutheran Church presiding. Burial followed in Lutheran Cemetery. Survivors include his parents Martin W. and Laura Wente Pardieck, a brother Robert Glen, and sister Dorothy Louise.

The Rev. Fred Bouse of Shelbyville Church of the Nazarene is named pastor of the Seymour Church of the Nazarene. He will move to Seymour early next week to begin duties after approval by the Indianapolis district superintendent and the local church board. The change follows the resignation of Rev. W. Morris who moved to Chicago to lead Woodlawn Church of the Nazarene.
Services in honor of St Ambrose, patron saint of the local church, will be led by Monsignor Rawlinson at 7 00 p m. The sermon titled The Life and Times of St Ambrose. Tomorrow’s Feast of St Ambrose features Holy Communion at 5 20 a m Mass with Holy Communion at 6 30 a m and a High Mass at 9 00 a m with the Children's Choir. The day closes with Holy Hour from 4 30 to 5 30 p m. Saint Ambrose descended from an ancient Roman family and pursued law before rising in government service.

Will Crane of Jonesville injured when Albert Donhost of Jonesville crashed into a parked car on Ewing Street. Crane was reported at Sehneck Memorial Hospital as slightly improved and conscious at times.
Fire at 730 East Fifth street gutted a six room house owned by Mrs. Carrie Myers and occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Tra Bridgewater and family. Fire started from a defective flue and spread across the roof, delaying extinguishment by Seymour firemen amid ice on the ground. Neighbors helped rescue belongings as the home suffered extensive damage.

Clear Spring P T A votes to buy a five dollar bond amid a program including a solo by Ben Yount and a children’s playlet.
Burlington County detective Ellis Parker, long associated with solving crimes, was reportedly asked by Governor A. Harry Moore to examine the Lindbergh kidnapping. Parker has been working on the case since the incident, amid claims he faced obstruction from state troopers and was in the Lindbergh household area days after the crime.
A man giving the alias Frank Deark and address nowhere in particular was arrested on State Road 58 near Kurtz after leaping from a Chicago Milwaukee St Paul and Pacific train. A blanket taken at Bedford was recovered by Seymour police. The suspect Hessell Brianer, of Bedford, was identified by officers and returned to Bedford with State Patrolman Ernest Harris and a Bedford officer.
Edward V. Elsner, a special judge, heard the Milan school case in Ripley circuit court regarding Will B. Wilson versus the School Town of Milan and Oran Brown. Wilson claims tenure protections as permanent Milan superintendent after over five years under an indefinite contract. the court took the matter under advisement.
Senator McNary of Oregon announces a three point farm relief bill to transition from the AAA. He says it could serve as a substitute if the Supreme Court voids the agricultural adjustment act and aims to shape Republican strategy for 1936. The plan differs by proposing a long term program without the AAA’s net protection.
Two robbers shot during a Franklin National Bank raid in Warren County left a dead man with a women's clothing outfit. They kidnapped seven people, seized 2800, and fled toward Bridgeport as state patrols pursued. A youth from Martin's Ferry was wounded. investigators name possible suspect Thomas Robinson and link the case to disguises and masked identities.
New Jersey officials consider a renewed inquiry into the infamous abduction as only one ladder piece can be traced directly to Bruno Richard Hauptmann. Government wood expert Arthur Koehler identified a flooring fragment from Hauptmann’s attic, while other ladder timbers remain untracked.
