Survived by daughter Lena Croucher of Indianapolis and son Edward Stewart of Seymour. Mrs Sarah McConnell Stewart preceded him in death in 1928. He had lived in Rockford sixty years and worked as a laborer. Born in Mannie.

Fire Destroys Tenant House on Fishbond Farm Southwest of Edinburg

Prospect confesses to theft of nine chickens from coop
Ernest Foster, thirty nine, confessed to stealing nine Plymouth Rock chickens from Peter Ahi’s coop near U S Road 31 last night. He later signed a written confession admitting a month long series of thefts and said he stole to eat. Police had shadowed him for two weeks before arrest at the Wadley poultry house where six stolen pullets lay on scales. Fifty two chickens reported stolen this morning, with Foster likely responsible for about one fifth.
