Three local thefts reported Saturday netted loot valued at about 3679 dollars. An Edwardsburg man had items taken from his car at Days Inn east of town, including almost 3000 dollars worth of clothing. Bruce Grammel reported a 75 dollar CB radio stolen from his vehicle on North Walnut street. Motel articles worth about 600 dollars were stolen from the All-State Inn on East Tipton street after 11 p.m. Friday.

Balloting Deadline Nears for Jackson County Committeemen
Ballots were sent Nov 25 listing six nominees per township in Jackson County for five seats each township chair man vice chair man member and two alternates. About 2 276 ballots mailed to county farmers to be returned today with results to be tabulated by Thursday. Committeemen assist in administering government programs via the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Committee.

Police Probe Three Mishaps
A Seymour motorist damaged his auto and a second vehicle while changing lanes on Tipton street. Michael W. Dixon Jr. of Seymour drove a 1966 two door eastbound at 4 43 p m and struck the right side of a 1977 Moss III truck. Damages were 160 and 200 dollars respectively. A second two car crash occurred Saturday at Busch and Tipton streets injuring Beavers and Buck with 350 and 75 dollars in damages. A third hit and run occurred Saturday on East Third street where a west bound vehicle hit another and fled the scene at the Broadway intersection.
