Funeral set for Edmund J. Shea former IU Medical Center administrator
Funeral services are planned Tuesday for Edmund J. Shea 54 of Indianapolis a former administrator at the Indiana University Medical Center who retired last year due to ill health. He previously served as president of the Indiana Hospital Association and the Indiana Health Council. Shea died Saturday at Methodist Hospital.

U.S. jets fought MIG patrols near Hanoi with claims of shooting down one MIG 17 and probably another. American pilots reported heavy strikes on a North Vietnamese railroad yard northeast of Hanoi and said U.S. losses were light with no planes lost in Sunday raids. In Saigon pan signals, 12 Viet Cong were killed at Tan Son Nhut Airport as guards flushed out remnants of an assault. The destroyer Ingersoll engaged shore batteries off Dong Hoi, suffering slight damage with no American casualties reported.

Local Ford Donates V8 Engine to Seymour High School
Ford dealer Don Morris donated a 1967 284 cubic inch V8 engine plus a 1967 Cruise-O-Matic transmission and a differential assembly to Seymour Senior High School to support a new auto mechanics program taught by Jim Brock. Exhibit Showcases Andrei Hudiakoff Murals at Sey mour Library
An art exhibit at the Seymour Public Library features paintings and mural models by Andrei Hudiakoff, a White Russian artist living in Newtown Connecticut since 1960. The display includes copies of Dresden Museum master works, original canvases for sale, and detailed church murals in progress for St John the Divine in Mennessen Pennsylvania with a 60 foot dome and 30 foot arch. The exhibit runs through December 10 with several works available for purchase and saints to be added to the church arches by patrons.
