Mrs. Frieda Hastedt Dies at 58 in Seymour
Mrs. Frieda N. Hastedt, 58, longtime Seymour resident, died at Schneck Memorial Hospital after a month of illness. Born November 17, 1894, near Huntingburg she moved to Seymour in 1937 with her husband J W Hastedt who survives. She belonged to Gamma Phi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa and supported cancer fund drives.

Eva Goss dies at 80 in Jackson county funeral Saturday
Mrs Eva Goss 80 of Norman Al died about noon Thursday at her home north of Kurtz after a three week illness. Funeral services are set for 1 30 p m Saturday at the Liberty Church Jackson county with Rev Ernest Hopper in charge. Burial follows at Liberty Cemetery. She lived in the same home 48 years and is survived by daughter Lora McHargue Norman Al four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. a son died in infancy.

Pecan Man Sought By Police Held For Assault
Harlan Red Nichols 42 of Austin was arrested in Austin by city and state police on assault and battery charges filed by Elizabeth Ann Bowers 28 of Austin. Police had searched since Wednesday after a Seymour woman reported she was forced into a car driven by Nichols and beaten on a country road between Dudleytown and Crothersville. Authorities located Mrs. Bowers Thursday afternoon in Austin and Nichols was brought to Seymour this morning for arraignment in city court Saturday.

Burglaries At Schools Probed In Jennings County
State police from Seymour investigate burglaries at Lovett School Jennings county and North Vernon School on Thursday night. Earlier, Crothersville High School burglary on November 26 saw broken glass doors and entered offices with no items stolen.
