Former Seymour Resident Killed in Korea
Cpl. Gene A. Sturgeon 25, former Seymour resident and manager of the B F Goodrich Store on South Chestnut, died in action November 28 in Korea. He served with the Seventh Regiment First Marine Division and left the store August 16 to report for duty. His wife Rosann Jinks Sturgeon of Conn ersville and their five year old son survive, with his brothers Sgt. Bob Sturgeon wounded in Korea and Col. Loren Sturgeon elsewhere.
