New Post Office Order Cuts Parcel Post Size and Weight
A new regulatory order limits parcel post packages to five pounds and maximums of eighteen inches in length or sixty inches in combined length and girth. Effective 12:01 a.m. December 6, air and first class mail over five pounds and fourth class parcels over five pounds in weight will be rejected. Exceptions cover live poultry, nursery stock, perishables, and certain medical supplies.
