Death of George Rau 86 A longtime Seymour resident
George Rau died at Sehneck Memorial Hospital at five this morning after a stroke. A Pennsyl vania Railroad foreman before retiring in 1918, he lived most of his life at 310 Indianapolis Avenue. He was a charter member of Hermion Lodge No 44 Knights of Pythias and Odd Fellows. He never married and is survived by two nieces Rose Ahlbrand and Leona Ray. Funeral arrangements to be announced. Friends may call at Voss Mortuary after seven tonight.

Car fire damages vehicle at Williams Garage
A Karl Russell owned car caught fire while being repaired at Williams Garage on Third and Ewing streets. Firemen from Seymour extinguished the blaze after the car was rolled out to the Third street entrance. An employee, Nelson Lara way, reportedly lived under the car using an electric drill when gasoline vapors ignited.
