Joe Hollin sixteen, former Crothersville resident, convicted by a Jackson Circuit Court jury of voluntary manslaughter in the death of 16 year old Donal E. Meadors. after a 17 hour 22 minute deliberation the jury sentenced him to the Indiana state reformatory at Pendleton for two to 21 years with parole eligibility after one year nine months.

Butler Named Medora Deputy Town Marshal
William Butler was named deputy marshal of Medora at the December town board meeting. He succeeds Clayton Hawkins, who resigned Monday. Gerald White, Medora clerk treasurer, said the board also discussed a sewer plan and set a January meeting for residents to discuss needs.
