New Suits Filed In Jackson Circuit Court
Several new civil damage suits are filed in Jackson Circuit Court and the first jury trial of the term is set to begin at the county courthouse. A petit jury for the October term is summoned to appear by 9 am Wednesday and impaneling will start. One case, Millard Chasteen v Kenneth Ray Taskey, seeks 20000 in damages for a March 31 1963 wreck on Freeman Field Road west of Seymour in which a passenger died. The defendant allegedly drove 70 mph with no lights in a race. The docket also includes the state v Dr Hubert R Dagley jury selection for trial. Dagley was arrested in Seymour and was a staff member at Muscatatuck State School, Butlerville. Albert Turn to page 6 column 7.

The Seymour Aviation Commission in a special session accepted a deed of release from the FAA for 9.68 acres at Freeman Field where Dotto Inc is constructing a new warehouse. The city quit-claims the land to Dotto Inc by Resolution No. One 1963 dated June 24 1965. Four bids were received for a pickup truck, Timperman Sales accepted. an industrial electric oven sold to Amoco Chemicals for 900.

FBI Report Indicates Oswald Acted Alone in Kennedy Killing
An extensive FBI briefing nearing completion will state that Lee Harvey Oswald acted without help, firing three shots from a sixth floor window of the Texas School Book Depository in Dallas. The first and third shots killed Kennedy, the second wounded Gov. Connally. The report, to be sent to President Johnson and then to the Warren Commission, also notes all three shots likely came from the same direction.

The bubble top presidential limousine used in the November 22 Dallas assassination could be retired to a museum if President Johnson does not authorize its continued use. The 30 month old car, leased from Ford for 500 dollars annually, bears a small windshield hole possibly from a bullet. Local Girl Hurt In One Car Crash Near North Vernon
A 19 year old girl from Seymour suffered facial and leg lacerations in a two vehicle collision on U S 50 about 1.2 miles west of North Vernon. Shirley Ann Hubbard was treated at Schneck Memorial Hospital and later sent to another facility. Duane Decker 18 of Seymour drove a 1963 sedan into the rear of a semi hauled by Frank Braden of Charlestown owner McHenry Truck Service. Braden was uninjured. A cow escaped the wreckage and remained at large at noon. Decker was cited to appear in Turn to page 6.
