An emergency mobile chest X ray unit from the Indiana State board of health will visit Jackson county this week under the Tuberculosis Association of Jackson County. The unit travels to Arvin Industries on Wednesday 1 to 4 30 p m and to Crothersville High School on Thursday 9 to 3 30 p m. Public donations via the Christmas seal sale fund the visit.

Earl Shutters of Seymour, 21, pleaded guilty to dis orderly conduct and public intoxication in Mayor Isaacs court Sunday morning. He paid 1 dollar fine and 15 dollars costs for public intoxication. the disorderly conduct charge was continued. He was arrested at 1 20 a m Sunday at Broadway and Tipton streets by Officer Walfred J Kleimola.

Man Injured As Truck Overturns Near Crothersville
Ollie Farris, 58, of Seymour Ala escaped serious injury when his 1955 pickup overturned on U S 31 near a rest park south of Crothersville. He was thrown into a ditch and treated at Schneck Memorial Hospital. Four cattle in the truck were rescued with minor injuries to one. Trooper R Wayne Hall investigated. the truck was a total loss.

Gunman Nabbed In Texas Ends Texas Posse Fatal Shootout
In the Texas Panhandle near Shamrock a gunman named James William Whiteard, 21, and his half brother were found after a weekend pursuit that began in Oklahoma. Whiteard surrendered beside his dead brother while an earlier gunfight left Victor Lee Stephens, 19, dead and Junior Bard Myers, 32, dead. Myers had many aliases and a long arrest record. Whiteard gave a statement claiming Myers fired first with a sawed off shotgun. Authorities used planes and bloodhounds to track the pair. Myers was found 30 yards away with shotgun slugs and a broken left arm.
