Post Area Traffic Toll Drops to 28 for 1955
In the Seymour state police post seven county region the November toll is two fatalities with two deaths in November 1954. The year to date toll sits at 28, twelve fewer than last year’s forty. Friday night fog and wet roads caused several accidents, including a collision that damaged the Bell's Ford bridge on State Road 258 when a 1952 sedan owned by Conrad Boling struck the structure. Trooper Robert O. Stanley investigated. the driver left the scene.

Three Day Deer Season Ends In Indiana
The three day deer hunting season in southern Indiana counties ends this afternoon with deer totals to be reported by the state conservation department. Postmaster Walter H. Droege announced the retirement of two Seymour employees a clerk Floyd Warner and rural letter carrier Roy A. Beldon after long service. Warner a World War I veteran joined December 10 1942 and retires due to ill health effective Friday. Beldon who began March 1 1921 retires after 35 years on Seymour Rl with Wilfred E. Baughman temporarily filling the route until a permanent appointment is made.

Four Schools May Be Seen Sunday
Public inspection of four abandoned school buildings in Jackson and Redding townships is scheduled Sunday afternoon from 1 30 to 4 00. The Seymour Community Schools will sell the properties at a public auction on December 14 at 7 pm at the superintendent’s office, 325 North Walnut Street. Buildings include Woodstock Walnut Grove Reddington and Clara D Carter School southeast of Seymour along U S Route 31. The four were closed after consolidation with Seymour and new elementary buildings were opened.

Evidence in Terkhorn Case Reaches Final Testimony in Columbus
In Columbus a trial against Orville Terkhorn 40 accused of assault and alleged molestation of a nine year old girl concluded its testimony phase. Defense claimed he intended only to guide a dead tree sighting. the girl's father testified no garage windows existed. The girl testified Terkhorn touched her underclothing and another child saw him looking down the other girl’s dress.

Driver Misses Curve In Fog Burns Auto

Wreck Near London Kills Conductor and Injures Fifty
A commuter electric train crashed into a freight train near Barnes west of London killing the conductor and injuring about 50 others. Rescue workers and passengers pulled survivors from flames as firemen fought to control burning wreckage and cut power to the wrecked cars.
