Westport Youth Dies in Jennings County Crash
A 13 year old Westport youth, Jeffrey B. Lucas, died from head and internal injuries after a two car collision on Ind 3 near North Vernon. The driver of the other auto, Irwin E. Smith of Corydon, was charged with reckless homicide. Ruth A. Lucas and Smith were hospitalized with injuries. Jennings County Sheriff Perry Cummings led the investigation with state police.
