Six Seymour Chamber of Commerce members were elected to the Board of Directors after ballot tabulation. New directors are Dr. Ralph O. Bosch F S McKay Richard Becker Noble Tad Henderson David B Hill and D Billings Swain. Ballot return rate was 43 percent with 202 of 467 ballots returned.

Parking receipts show declines in November collections
City clerk treasurer Gaynelle Moritz reports parking meter receipts for November totaled 1,950.90, down 302.40 from the previous year’s 2,253.30 and 458 below October’s 2,408.90. November arrest ticket collections fell from October by 81 but rose 12 from November last year. Fines in November were 250, with October at 331, while the third week of November reached 506.75, the highest among the three months.

Former Gov. Henry F. Schricker, 83, showed improvement after a gastro intestinal flareup and a night at Starke County Memorial Hospital. The Indiana governor twice served from 1940 and 1948, and was hospitalized Thursday.
Woman Fined In City Court For Failure To Yield
Mrs. Alice M. Holloman of Seymour pleaded guilty in Seymour city court to failure to yield the right of way. Judge William M. Jones fined her $1 and costs after a two car mishap Sunday at Fourth street and Broadway.

First Madrigal Dinner Tonight in Sey mour at Elks Club
Civic Organ Guild presents the citys first Madrigal dinner at the Elks Club with a 20 member cast in Medieval costumes. Ivan Webster says decorations and pomp will evoke an English court dining hall. The event features Christmas carols and part-sung Madrigal songs, with costumes valued around 400 dollars. A second dinner is set for Saturday at 6 30 p m and organizers expect an annual tradition.

Local Couple Satisfactory Hurt In Fatal Road Crash
Wilmer L. Woolf 45 and his wife Shirley 41 were in satisfactory condition at Major Hospital Shelbyville after a head on collision on Indiana 9 north of Shelbyville. The other driver Jess W. Barnett 51 of Indianapolis died at the scene. The crash occurred about 8 40 p m as Barnett veered left of center on a curve. Woolf was an employee of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. Shelby County logged its 19th accident of the year tying the 1959 record with twelve deaths in 1965.
