Three Men Sentenced by Judge Cox in Jackson County
Three men held in Brownstown county jail were sentenced by Judge James A. Cox in Jackson Circuit Court. Alrm Sullivan of Freetown pleaded guilty to second degree burglary and received three to ten years at the Indiana reformatory with a ten year disfranchisement. Ernest Bean of Freetown was also jailed for the robbery. Edward Mitchell, a 34 year old colored resident of the city, drew one to five years in state prison for passing a fraudulent check, plus a $1 fine and ten-year disfranchisement. Ralph Hill of Columbus was given one to ten years at the reformatory for larceny and ten-year disfranchisement.
