James F. Tunley, 70, a local commercial salesman for Al Jax Chemical, died suddenly at his South Walnut residence Friday afternoon. Funeral services are set for Monday at 3 pm from the home. burial will follow at River View Cemetery. He is survived by Harriet Nevins Tunley, a daughter Evelyn Glasson, a brother Lester Tunley, a sister Mrs. William Strohbeck, and a granddaughter.

In Iserlohn Germany on December 1 British security police and troops arrested seventy six steel magnates from Ruhr industries worth billions. Raids began at 11 p m and only eight of eighty four targeted remained at large. Industrialists were found in varied circumstances from drinking champagne to taking stomach pills before bed.

Kenneth T. Knoke, a fifth grade technician in the Signal Corps, has been discharged after three years of service. Much of his duty was at Attu in the Aleutian Islands as a radio technician. He earned the American Theater Ribbon and the World War II Victory Medal. He is the husband of Ruth Knoke and son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Knoke. Before enlisting, he worked at Kamman's Jewelry Store.

Nazi General Dostler Shot by Firing Squad in Italy

Flier Killed in Crash Near Aurora
Aurora Ind December 1 Lt Robert Frank 21 of Aurora was killed Friday night when an army plane struck a hill near here. He was stationed at Patterson Field Dayton Ohio and due for discharge today.
