Funeral Rites Held For Norman Resident John W Glasgow
Funeral services for John W. Glasgow 81 died Saturday at his Norman R2 home were held at Gilgal Church with Rev. Floyd Long and Rev. Leonard East officiating. Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery. Glasgow a retired farmer had been ill and suffered a broken hip. He was a member of Henderson Creek Church. Survivors include six daughters and four sons, 43 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Daughters include Mrs. Rhoda Seamon Bloomington, Mrs. Mary Fleetwood Blooming ton R3, Mrs. Lorene Schultz New Albany, Mrs. Maudie Dillman Indianapolis, Mrs. Dorothy King Miamisburg Ohio, and Grace Glasgow at home. Women Hospitalized After Truck Overturns

Circuit Judge Ollie Reeves ordered Mrs. Clarice Spurlock held without bond for grand jury action in the poison death of her mother. Toxicologists said arsenic found in the exhumed bodies of Mrs. Spurlock's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Winter Dearing of Huntingburg, after visits to the Spurlock home. Dr. Farney of Indiana University said an enormous dose of arsenic was found in the father’s body and five grains in the mother’s body, making life unlikely once poisoned.
