Youths Arrested in Vehicle Theft Case Near Shelbyville
State police arrested three youths and questioned an 18 year old girl after a red auto reported stolen from Shelbyville was found parked on U S Alternate 31 at Little Acres. The suspects David Wickiter 19 Stephen Wright 19 and Michael Gooden 19 were jailed in Brownstown. The car owner Donald Wickiter Jr reported the theft after his son took keys without permission. A small amount of drugs was sent to the state lab for analysis.

The Indiana Public Service Commission directed Indiana Telephone Corporation to reduce Henryville party lines to four or fewer and file within 60 days a plan plus cost estimates to extend service to Jeffersonville New Albany Clarksville and Louisville Kentucky.
