Enrollment Sessions Set By 8 Schools
Eight of the county nine schools will enroll for the 1968 69 term in brief Friday morning sessions. Vernon Township district began on Wednesday with 859 pupils. Enrollment times for Seymour area pupils cover Cortland Elementary 8 15, Seymour Senior High and Shields 8 35, Immanuel Lutheran 8 40, and several elementary schools 8 45. Additional enrollments occur at St Johns Lutheran Sayers 9 10 and Brownstown Central Community Schools 8 30 with kindergarten at different times.

Woman Struck By Auto In Seymour Police Investigate
A Seymour woman, Catherine Rucker, 55, was injured but not seriously when struck at Euclid Avenue and South O'Brien Street at 6:55 a.m. She had possible back injury and arm cuts and was treated at Schneck Memorial Hospital. Police found driver Helen T. Chastain, 24, did not see the pedestrian and could not avoid the collision. no charges filed.

Women ordered to serve terms for theft in Brownstown
Two 19 year old women Vickie Burke and Frances Fleetwood held in Jackson County jail at Brownstown were found to have probation revoked and were ordered to serve six months in the Indiana state women’s prison in Indianapolis. They had been charged with theft of household items from mobile homes near Surprise on Aug 18 while on probation for a minor delinquency conviction. The hearing before Judge Jonathan J. Robertson resulted in immediate transport orders. A third man and another suspect were arrested in Scott County for being an accessory to the thefts.
