Milk Truck Driver Injured Near Freetown
Miller Topie 50 of Seymour R2 is hospitalized at Schneck Memorial with knee and foot injuries after his milk truck overturned twice on Indiana 135 two miles south of Freetown. He was pulled from beneath the vehicle by Leroy Cummins and taken to the hospital in fair condition. The 1963 Thomson Dairy Co. truck suffered about 2000 dollars in losses. Sheriff’s Deputy Clifford Green led the report.

Rescue hole expansion nears surface lift for three trapped men
In Hazleton Pennsylvania rescuers reported the escape shaft drilling to 263 feet and nearing the surface as they prepare to lift David Fellin 58 Henry Throne 28 and Lou Bova 42 up one by one in capsules. Bova has not been heard from since Tuesday and remains 25 feet from the others.
