City Couple Pleads Guilty To Child Cruelty Charge
Seymour couple James Perry and Geraldine Perry pleaded guilty in Jackson Circuit Court Brownstown to cruelty and neglect of children. Each received six months suspended jail time and one year strict probation. The pair were accused of chaining a 12 year old boy and disciplining a 14 year old daughter with abuse reports dating to after school ended. Police investigated after a tip citing bruises and a gash like wound and a leash chained at times to neck and ankles. The judge ordered strict probation and warned violation would revoke the suspended sentences.
