Crothersville man William R. Collman 35 pleaded not guilty to four charges in Seymour city court. He was released on bonds and ordered to appear August 26. In Jackson Circuit Court Alonzo Harris 32 Free Town Al faced arraignment on an indictment for involuntary manslaughter from a July deer hunt near Freetown. Seymour was chosen to host the Zone Four Eagles convention to be held April 24 25 and 26 next year with about 500 delegates expected from cities including Brazil Shoals Vincennes Bicknell Columbus Washington Evansville and Princeton. Local attendees include Marvin W Dyer state trustee and other Seymour residents. Robert Thornburgh Evansville Zone Four director led Sunday’s meeting at Hindostan Falls with the next zone gathering set for September 15.
A two week chest X ray survey by the Indiana state board of health begins today in Seymour. The mobile unit will screen residents over 18 at 315 East Fifth Street from 1 30 to 2 30 pm then at South OBrien Street from 3 to 4 30 pm. The program runs with Tuberculosis Association of Jackson County sponsorship and visits East Third Street near Arvin Industries tomorrow with hours 8 30 to 11 30 am and 1 30 to 4 30 pm.
Jackson County Rural Electric Membership Corporation moved to a new office on Venice Road east of Brownstown and began operations there today after relocating equipment last week. The former site at Poplar and Walnut streets closed after noon Saturday.
A misty Monday brought rain and fog to Jackson County and much of Indiana after a mild weekend. Weather officials forecast a warming trend for Tuesday and Wednesday, then a cool snap late week. Temperatures are expected four to eight degrees below normal in central and southern Indiana, with normal highs around 80 to 87 across the state. Weekend highs reached 85 Saturday and 81 Sunday. overnight lows were 55 and 58. White River at Rockford was one foot and falling at 7 am. drizzle persisted at noon.
Rescue teams lowered supplies to three miners David Fellin 58 Henry Throne 28 and Louis Bova 52 trapped since Tuesday in a 400 foot shaft at Sheppton near Hazleton Pennsylvania. After 134 hours 25 minutes of vigil contact was re established at 12:01 a.m. Sunday via a micro phone and the men reported they were okay. A 28 inch bore is planned to reach them and officials say it could take from one day to a week to complete the rescue.
The Indiana High School Athletic Association ruled 11 Martinsville High School boys ineligible for all sports until Jan 1 for participating in an organized summer basketball league. The group includes David LaFary, the only varsity player, and ten B team players.

North American Aviation wins a 934.4 million contract for Apollo command and service modules while Grumman files a 387.9 million deal for the lunar excursion module. NASA expects over 20 000 firms and 300 000 people to join the program through mid-1965. The Saturn V rocket and Cape Canaveral launch complexes will see heavy investment, with ground testing and facilities construction underway.
