Moving Day Brings Entire House To New East Fourth Street
William C. Ross Co. movers relocated a large two story home from Third and Broadway to 513 East Fourth Street in New Albany. George Boas owner of George's of Seymour bought the house seven years ago to expand his tire business. The move required cutting tree limbs and detaching street lights and power lines along the three block route.

Job Rate Survey Scheduled During the Week of August
The U S Bureau of the Census will conduct its monthly employment and unemployment survey the week of August 20 24. Forrest P Cawley Jr directs the Chicago data center. About 50 000 households nationwide are scientifically chosen to represent all households. The survey is for the U S Department of Labor and tracks labor force conditions as a key economic health indicator. The June results showed unemployment at 4 8 percent, below 5 percent for the first time in three years. Employment rose by 650 000 to a seasonally adjusted level.

Bids Open for 22 Highway Projects in Seymour District
State Highway Commission to receive bids Tuesday on two local widening projects U S 50 from Jeffersonville to Broadway and Ind 11 Walnut Street from McDonald to city limits with resurfacing. Seymour fireman Nick Vogel, 25, injured by flying glass while on the roof of Seymour Manufacturing Co. at 500 North Broadway during a 4:09 a.m. blaze caused by an above furnace roof fire. Feed program changes relax 1974 set aside rules

Wildlife Refuge Seeks Bids for Road and Parking Project
The Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge east of Seymour invites sealed bids for an entrance road 4300 feet long and an 80 by 80 foot parking lot. Bids open 2:30 PM Wednesday September 5 at the Federal Building Twin Cities Minnesota. Refuge manager Charles E. Area Youth Gospel Concert Brightens Brownstown Fairgrounds
About 200 people gathered Friday night under trees at the Jackson County fairgrounds east of Brownstown for a gospel concert by local high school and college students. A makeshift stage formed from three flatbed wagons hosted the Philathean Singers and Til II Singers from nearby areas with brief personal reflections on Christianity between songs.
