Three men pleaded guilty in Seymour city court this morning. Harry L Griffith of Dayton Ohio was fined 10 and 18 75 costs for speeding in a posted zone. Roger M McKinney of Bedford RI tied with suspended license and 15 weekends in jail plus 10 and 18 75 costs. Charles E McMillan of Louisville KY was fined 15 and 17 costs for public intoxication.

Contract Set For New Redding Fire Station
The Jackson County Farm Bureau Cooperative Association won the contract to build a new Redding Township Volunteer Fire Department station on the old Reddington School site facing U S 31. The 30 by 90 foot pole building should be finished by late September with work starting late August. Members will handle electrical plumbing and heating. The department may soon assign numbers to dwellings for fire location identification. Boy Scout Troop 27 volunteers pursue merit badges with special firemanship instruction planned.

Minor Accident Here Thursday Damage Ten Dollars
Seymour city police investigated a minor two car crash Thursday morning in the 200 block of Indianapolis avenue. A 1963 coach driven by Harold Oscar Decker collided with a 1952 sedan driven by Harry Rodman, with an estimated ten dollar front bumper damage to the Decker vehicle and no damage to the Rodman car. Capt. James P. Flynn led the investigation.

U.S. Flier Rescued by Soviet Fishermen Near Cape Cod
An American flier Capt. Hugh Lavallee parachuted 20000 feet into the Atlantic and was rescued by Russian fishermen after his plane lost a wing. A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter then ferried him from a Soviet ship back to Otis AFB Massachusetts. Lavallee is a 29 year old University of New Hampshire graduate and Springfield resident.
