Throng To Witness V-J Day Parade Sunday
Several hundred marching units from all parts of Indiana join a parade in Seymour to mark the 20th annual V J Day observance. Leslie Arbuckle Zimmerman Post No 1925 VFW sponsors the event which starts at 1 30 p m from Bruce and Chestnut streets and travels north on Chestnut east on Second street to Broadway then north to Shields Park.

Seymour police remind residents of no parking along the parade route from 12 30 p m to 2 30 p m on Chestnut Bruce Second Broadway and Seventh streets for Sundays V J Day parade. Units compete for cash prizes plus trophies in musical unit drill team color guard and float divisions. The parade includes the 113th U S Army Band from Ft Knox and the Seymour Senior High School band with Major General John S Anderson as honorary parade marshal.

Seymour July Property Damage Over $11,000 Says Police
The Seymour city police report shows July property damage at 11,463 dollars, more than double June. Accidents rose to 36 mishaps, with 66 traffic arrests and 25 criminal arrests. Juvenile arrests numbered nine with 15 traffic charges, and 406 calls were answered as two patrol cars logged 11,142 miles.

Fair Attendance Record Set Finale At Jackson County Fair
A new one day attendance record was set at the Jackson County Fair with 34 269 entrants the largest single day crowd to date. Tonight the fair closes with Porter Wagoner in the grandstand and a production of Dam Yankees plus a fireworks display to cap 1966 fair week.

Ninth District Wheat Allotments Increase 2713 Acres

Jackson County Considers 125 900 Appropriations
A special 9 a m meeting of the Jackson County Council will review additions totaling 125 900 for three departments. The highway fund requests 100 400 with 100 000 for blacktop and 400 for signs and posts. A 25 000 hospital addition funds nursing and radiology salaries, with extra general funds for auditor help and supplies for the county agent and health department.
