They include a $2.15 tax levy and salaries for city officials, plus funding for departments. Fair Climax Draws Record Crowd at Jackson County Fair

Receipts from the 1963 Jackson County Fair 4-H livestock auction climbed about 50 percent over 1962, totaling 11 793 dollars. Beef cattle sales led gains with 7 733 10 dollars, and hog and steer prices hit strong levels led by a 41 cent per pound grand champion hog and a 48 cent steer.
