An earth-moving crew works on the Brownstown Central Junior-Senior High School site as grading nears completion. C J Rust Company, Cortland, sub-contractor, uses heavy equipment with a water tank being prepared. Repp Mundt, Columbus, is general contractor for a 33 acre site north of Brownstown. The building will serve 600 to 700 students from Brownstown Driftwood and Grassy Fork townships and is slated for completion for the 1964 65 school year, costing about one and a half million dollars.

Columbus Woman and Girl Sentenced in Delinquency Case
A 15-year-old Columbus girl was sentenced to the Indiana Girls School in Columbus. Mrs. Carol Adams, 28, Columbus, received a $10 fine and 90 days at the Indiana Women’s Prison after pleading guilty to contributing to delinquency. Charles Buffington, 62, Augusta, Ga., was fined $10 and given a 90 day suspended sentence. The trio were taken into custody in Bedford after police notified Columbus authorities.

Charles Fish age 31 of Seymour R4 was overcome by carbon monoxide while flushing coolants at Cummins Engine Company Columbus. He was taken to Bartholomew County Hospital in fair condition. Clarence Fogle 49 of Burney also hospitalized as precaution. Skeleton crew worked in a closed machining room during vacation.

Second Carrier Bitten By Stray Dog Friday
Seymour city mail carrier Norman F. Haas was bitten on the left leg by a brown with black spotted stray dog in the 200 block of South Chestnut street around 3 p.m. Friday. Police hunted the animal as residents who saw the dog are asked to contact the city police. The wound was treated by a local physician.
