Browns Town Fair Attendance Sets Day’s Record
Crowds at the Brownstown county fairgrounds Thursday set a new one day attendance landmark during the 1952 fair week. Farm Bureau Day drew the largest Thursday afternoon crowd of the week, with the farm produce, live stock, industrial, auto show, women’s department and implement skits all reporting bigger crowds. Gus Sun’s variety show and a parade of farm machinery drew large gatherings, and Clyde Goble repeated as horseshoe pitching champion for the third straight year. The grand parade of livestock was scheduled for 7 p.m. CST tonight. more judging followed with Hoosier Gold Medal olives and other displays noted.

Switch Locomotive Restored After Rail Damage Near Broadway
Spectators watched Baltimore and Ohio workers from North Vernon place a large locomotive back on the rails on a switch track east of Broadway. The engine derailed when the track spread on the curve after crossing, damaging one rail during Thursday afternoon switching in the yards.

Hospital staff donated a clock radio overnight case and personal gifts while doctors presented a wardrobe in luggage. Browne plans to return to Louisville, her home city, to live.

Girl Injured As Autos Collide In City Intersection
A five year old girl, Vickie Lynn Pfaffenberger, suffered a bruised forehead and possible concussion when a 1941 coach driven by Chester Alan Tracey collided with a 1950 hard top driven by Lynn A Pfaffenberger at Second and Chestnut streets Thursday night. Tracey, 18, Seymour Ind, was cited for failure to yield the right of way. About 300 dollars damage to the Pfaffenberger car and 150 dollars to the Tracey auto.
