Indiana National Guard units including the 137th Ambulance Company and 113th Medical Regiment joined an annual trek toward Fort Knox Kentucky. Detachments traveled by truck and train while seven aircraft of the 113th Observation Squadron crossed Seymour briefly. The advance detail of the 51st Howitzer Company halted near the old city cemetery before continuing southward for a fifteen day encampment.

Couple Injured In Columbus Car Collision
Mr and Mrs Roger Vincent of Indianapolis suffered severe bruises and cuts when their light roadster collided with Mrs Owna Devis’s auto on U S road 31 in Columbus. They were treated at Bartholomew County Hospital and taken to the Kirsch home at 217 South Vine Street. Mrs Vincent and spouse were en route home after a weekend visit. Mrs Devis, of Columbus route 1, was uninjured.

Bullet Wound Sinks Hope For Seven Year Old
Ruby Hamilton, seven, daughter of William Hamilton of 344 East Street, was admitted in critical condition to Schneck Memorial Hospital with a bullet wound to the left side. The father, at the hospital, said a revolver in his hand during lunch twirled. an accidental discharge in one chamber exploded the cartridge.
