Reckless driving plea and liquor case in city court
Henry Mellenbruck, twenty, pleaded guilty to reckless driving in city court. He drew a $1 fine and $10 costs, license revoked one year, and ordered to compensate Mildred Wolf for damage to her automobile from a collision at Tipton Street and Broadway Tuesday night. Mayor Burkart also sentenced Delbert Thomas of Crothersville to thirty days at the penal farm and a $100 fine plus $30 costs for possession of intoxicating liquor found Saturday night. he will be jailed at Brownstown before sent to Putnamville. Plane Crash Kills Pilot and Two Passengers in Campbellsville
A rebuilt plane with an obsolete War Department motor, piloted by Francis Mitchell 25 of Louisville, with passengers Carl Carter 23 and Flave Courts 23, crashed into an alley near Campbellsville Kentucky. The wreckage caught fire as hundreds looked on from about 500 feet up, and all three perished. Turpin New Trial Motion Set for Salem Hearing
A hearing on a defense motion for a new trial in the Lawrence Turpin murder case will be held in Salem at a special Washington circuit court session Thursday morning.
