Air Force Sergeant John Knoke of Seymour R4 was among 131 passengers on Trans World Airlines Flight 79 hijacked to Cuba from Pennsylvania en route to Los Angeles. The aircraft, diverted over Tulsa, landed in Havana after five hours, with Knoke calling home from Miami after arrival. The hijacker Lester Perry, 32, boarded in Scranton and was escorted by two federal officers to a California prison.
